2. Overview

We take the protection of your personal data seriously. This policy explains what data we process when you visit sight-forge.com, why we process it, and what rights you have.

This website does not set cookies that require your consent and does not use tracking technologies that store or read information on your device. For this reason, you will not see a cookie consent banner on this site. That is deliberate.

3. Hosting

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA (“Vercel”).

When you visit our website, Vercel automatically processes technical data in server log files, including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, and the time of your request. This processing is technically necessary to deliver the website to your device and to ensure its stability and security.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the reliable and secure provision of our website).

Vercel is a US company. Data transfers to the USA are based on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, under which Vercel is certified, and on standard contractual clauses. We have concluded a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) with Vercel.

Server log files are retained by Vercel only temporarily and are progressively overwritten as new requests occur. We do not archive server logs, do not export them to any external storage, and do not merge them with other data sources. We have no access to identifiable log data beyond this short-term technical window.

4. Waitlist and Email Communication

If you sign up for our waitlist, we process your email address in order to inform you about SightForge's launch and to send you related updates.

We use a checkbox consent mechanism: by ticking the consent checkbox before signing up, you confirm that you wish to receive these communications. We log the time of your signup in order to be able to demonstrate your consent. You receive a welcome email at the time of signup confirming your registration.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (your consent). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by contacting us at sightforge.collective@gmail.com. Your data will be deleted from the waitlist upon request.

For sending emails we use Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., 2261 Market Street #5039, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA). We have concluded a data processing agreement with Resend. Resend is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework; data transfers to the USA are based on this certification and on standard contractual clauses.

5. Contact by Email

If you contact us by email, we process the data you provide (email address, name, content of your message) in order to handle your inquiry.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your inquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to inquiries). We delete correspondence once your inquiry has been conclusively resolved, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

6. Links to External Services

Our website links to learning sessions hosted on Tally (Tally BV, Belgium). When you follow such a link, you leave our website. Any data you enter there is processed by Tally and, where applicable, by us as described in the privacy notice and consent information provided within the session itself. This website itself does not embed Tally content and transmits no data to Tally while you browse here.

7. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and the right to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR).

Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Where we process your data on the basis of legitimate interest, you have the right to object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at sightforge.collective@gmail.com. To request deletion of your data, email the same address. We will process your request within 30 days.

8. Right to Lodge a Complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht, BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.

This website uses TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the “https://” prefix and the lock symbol in your browser's address bar.
